We Did It!

Wow! In just over thirty-days, we did it! Eighty-seven of you banded together to fully fund The STEAM Chasers: The Boundless Blackprint. Because of your support, The STEAM Chasers: The Boundless Blackprint will be fully launching in February of 2021. Not just the novel, providing readers with another adventure from Shar, Terrence, Ebony, Akiya, Marcus, and Chase, but also an accompanying activity journal encouraging middle-grade readers to discover the Blackprint in their own communities. We also raised enough funds to create a Primary Level workbook, and a Secondary Level workbook. Due to absolutely crushing our initial funding goal, we will be providing our backers with additional fun surprises. 

For instance, even though we didn't reach our $6,000 goal, we will still be having an exclusive book launch party just for our Kickstarter backers! We couldn't have done this without you!

I will continue to provide updates on how things are going in getting the book ready for publication in February. You should plan on hearing from me at least once a month until all orders have been fulfilled. You will be getting a survey from BackerKit in late October or early November where will we will confirm mailing addresses and other information, including how your want your Shout Out dedication to appear on our website. 

In the meantime, we are moving full S.T.E.A.M. ahead!

We Hit our $5,000 Stretch Goal - on to our $6,000 Stretch Goal!

We am so excited to announce that we hit our $5,000 stretch goal! This means everyone who backed for a physical copy of The STEAM Chasers: The Boundless Blackprint will also be receiving a Blackprint Community Journal. This journal will allow readers to discover the Blackprint in their own community, city, county, and country.

We have just three days left for our campaign, so why not go for an even more ambitious goal? If we can hit $6,000 pledged I will be hosting an exclusive Virtual Book Launch Party for The STEAM Chasers: The Boundless Blackprint exclusively for our backers here on Kickstarter! Backers at ALL pledge levels will be invited to a Zoom launch party which will include an author reading of the first chapter of the book, a Q&A session where the author will answer all of your questions about the The STEAM Chasers, plus an exclusive sneak peek at the concept for the 4th book in the series. That's not all! During the launch party there will be opportunities to win awesome STEAM Chasers merch and other prizes. 

So, let's see if we can hit $6,000 and have our very own Kickstarter Backer Virtual Book Launch Party!

Shout Outs and a Stretch Goal!

Wow! This week has been an amazing whirlwind of activity. First of all I want to take the time to shout out to #BackerKit for including our campaign in their Black Creators Newsletter as part of their commitment to the Black Lives Matter movement. It was an honor to be a Black creator they chose to highlight. 

Words cannot express just how much the support of the Kickstarter community means to us. We are finally brave enough to think about possible stretch goals! And, here they are!

If we reach $5,000, every individual who backed for a printed copy of The STEAM Chasers: The Boundless Blackprint will also receive a Blackprint Notebooking Journal. We are custom making this journal which will allow readers to discover the Blackprint in their own communities!

We made our initial funding goal within the first 24-hours of the campaign! However, we aren't stopping there. This is where things get really exciting as raising additional funds will allow us to ramp up our activities even further. For instance, if we reach $2000 we will be able to produce an audiobook version of The STEAM Chasers: The Boundless Blackprint. Meeting funding levels beyond that will allow us to create teacher and classroom curriculum materials, journals readers can use alongside the books, and materials that can be used for outreach purposes. 

If we crushed our initial goal in the first day, imagine what we can do over the next 32-days! Thank you so much for being trail blazers and demonstrating to the world your commitment to ensuring The STEAM Chasers will continue to introduce readers to science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math through the lens of contributions by Black Americans.
